1. How does the built-in claw file work?

The hard-wearing wooden surface files the claws a little at a time as your cat pokes, scratches and fishes for the balls. Very long claws may still need the occasional trim, so check them every couple of weeks.

2. What size is it and where should I put it?

It measures 30 x 25 x 8 cm and weighs approximately 720 g. Place it on the floor indoors near a favourite spot; the low height means even an older cat can reach it without jumping.

3. Is the surface safe for paws?

Yes. It is made from natural wood with a sanded surface and no sharp edges. Supervise play at first so your cat can get used to the toy safely.

4. Does it need assembling?

Two steps. Screw the side pieces onto the base, then screw the lid on top. The screws and instructions are included, along with a set of play balls.

5. Can the claw file surface be replaced?

Yes. The abrasive surface is a wearing part, and replacement sanding sheets are available separately so the puzzle keeps filing claws instead of being replaced. Add treats, dry food or catnip to keep your cat coming back.
